Lorne Bycoff is Co-Founder & CEO of The Bycoff Group, a private investment firm headquartered in New York City. In his role, Lorne directs all aspects of business and operating strategies, while also serving as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

Before launching The Bycoff Group, Lorne built an investment management business at Merrill Lynch, joining the firm in 2015. His prior experience includes roles at Goldman Sachs and Barclays, where he developed extensive knowledge in finance and investments.

Lorne graduated from Duke University with a degree in Economics and minor in Philosophy. He currently serves as the Co-Chairman for the DukeNY Alumni Association Board and most recently served as the National Co-Chairman of the Duke University Young Alumni Development Council. Lorne is a proud recipient of the Forever Duke Alumni Award.

Douglas Bycoff is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of The Bycoff Group, where he leads the development and implementation of the firm’s investment strategies. His responsibilities include overseeing analytical research and portfolio management. 

Prior to co-founding The Bycoff Group, Douglas served as a Research Analyst at Point72 Asset Management and its spin-off, Honeycomb Asset Management. There, he focused on technology, internet, media, and telecom equities across both public and private markets. With over 15 years of experience in institutional investment and corporate finance, Douglas’s career includes roles at UBS Investment Bank and Avista Capital.

Douglas graduated with Distinction from Duke University in 2009, earning a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His technical expertise and strategic insight are key to The Bycoff Group’s innovative approach to investment management.
